Since it’s Halloween, tons of new horror games are landing all across the games industry. The latest addition to the spooky stable for spooking is Home Sweet Home. The game is a spawling first-person survival horror game, based on real-world Thai mythology and lore. The Thai-influenced survival horror title follows Tim on his search for his missing wife. Over the course of the game, Tim will be hunted by all manner of ghosts and other ghoulish dangers as he struggles to find his lost love. Exploration is also vital, as players need to find important items like diary pages in order to progress.
Tim awakens in a strange locale with no idea where your wife is, and it’s become your sole mission to find her. The game touches on multiple tropes and spooky scares from the survival-horror genre, with lots of regional influences. It’s not quite the typical survival-horror experience though. There aren’t mundane or magical weapons that you can use to find off the various enemies hunting you. You’ll just have to use your wits and stealth to try and make it through. Hopefully you reach the other end of this journey with your sanity in tact.
