The newest iteration of Agent 47’s global adventures in assassination have set a new milestone for the franchise.  The reception to the game looks very positive indeed, if the new sales figures released are any indication. That means that Hitman 3 is officially the biggest digital launch for the entire Hitman franchise,

IO Interactive announced the accolades for the game, touting tons of positive reviews from various outlets. Many scores are putting in the higher ranges of 80% or better, which is pretty solid for a second sequel to a reboot. It doesn’t look like the adventures of Agent 47 are running out of steam just yet.

And sure, there’s likely some influence from the global pandemic pushing people to buy games digitally, but it’s pretty wild to see this game already setting new records. It’s hard to say how much the pandemic had an impact, but it’s worth mentioning that this kind of record might not hold up long-term.
