Hitman 2 gets a trip to Siberia in latest DLC

HITMAN 2 - Siberia Announcement Trailer

HITMAN developer IO Interactive has dropped a ton of news about their flagship franchise this week. The newest DLC for the sneaky killing simulator is out now for Season Pass owners. And bundle up, because it’s about to get chilly. Agent 47 is headed to the coldest parts of Russia for his latest task.

This new map is actually a special mission type within the game called a Silent Sniper assignment. Agent 47 must attack and neutralize his targets from long-range using a high-powered rifle, rather than his usual hands-on style. There’s still plenty of dynamic gameplay moments and room for experimentation, but the path is a lot more obvious and linear than the typical Elusive Target or other mission in this game.

The gameplay loop for the Siberia mission assigns two targets that must be killed while in prison. Yes, they’re already in police custody and you still have to take them out. And because this isn’t the TV show Prison Break, you can’t just keep breaking into and out of prison to get the job done. The mission is being bundled with the Season Pass for the main game, and should be available now.

Managing to complete the mission will unlock the special Druzhina 34 ICA sniper rifle with a special Arctic camo pattern, which you can then use in other missions too.

Owners of the HITMAN 2 Expansion Pass will be able to download Siberia (The Prison) on July 30 2019. If you want to learn more, check out the official site too.
