Joining all of the other copious announcements today, Heroes of the Storm got in on the fun. Blizzard Entertainment revealed Orphea, a new hero coming to the MOBA. And one cool thing, is that she’s a character exclusive to HotS who was made explicitly for the game..
Her abilities paint her as a mid-range control hero, with strong single-target damage. Orphea’s strengths include damage, zone control, sustain, and dueling; her weaknesses include poke and crowd control attacks. Her Death Magic abilities are potent, and it will give any support DPS player a lot of fun combos and timings to experiment with.
We also see that she has some strange but unexplained connections to the Raven Lord. We’ll probably learn more about that history soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
If you want to see more of Orphea, check out the various cinematics and trailers for the character down below. In addition to spotlighting the new character from a story angle, the videos also show off some of her combat potential. But wait, there’s more!
Blizzard also teased some additional new content like a janitor Leoric skin, as well as other school-themed skins for various heroes. The company is also introducing a new announcer in upcoming patches.
