Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human dated for PC

Detroit Become Human Demo

The trio of Quantic Dream games that were previously announced for PC finally have some release dates. All three of these titles will be out in 2019, with the first two dropping this Summer.

Quantum Dream has just announced that Heavy Rain will be released on the PC on June 24th, and Beyond Two Souls will be coming out on July 27th. In addition, the team confirmed that Detroit: Become Human will be coming to the PC in Fall 2019.

All three of these games are the strongest entries in the entire genre that French developer Quantic Dream helped build, that being the genre of the interactive movies. David Cage and the rest of the time have developed a fair bit of infamy for some of the more outlandish plots in these games, with fans expecting really on-the-nose writing and plot holes galore. The most recent title in Detroit: Become Human has come to be considered one of the best attempts at this genre with strong acting and at least somewhat believable writing.

Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human have all been Sony exclusives for quite a while. With the PS3 and PS4 driving these games, players who didn’t own these consoles were left out of experiencing the often outrageous plot and acting. These three were previously bundled into a release on the PS4, so it’s nice to see them finally make the jump back to the PC. The latter being a platform that David Cage hasn’t really touched since the pioneer game in this style, Omikron: The Nomad Soul.

And as part of the hype and build up for this oncoming PC release, Quantic Dream has dropped a new gameplay trailer which shows off all three titles, check that out down below. The developer is also planning to drop some free demos for all three games ahead of their release, although no exact details about file sizes or content just yet. All things considered the company sounds pretty excited.

“Bringing our last three interactive dramas to the PC platform will enable new audiences to experience what Quantic Dream games are all about,” Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière said. “Through these demos, gamers will have the opportunity to look into the hard work and dedication we have put into the PC versions of our beloved titles. For those who have never played a Quantic Dream title, this will be a great opportunity to experience the unique nature of our games.”

All three games are now available for pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store. All three games are currently discounted as part of the Epic Mega Sale too.
