Hearthstone: Doom in the Tomb Events Announced

Hearthstone Tombs of Terror Launch Date

Blizzard has finally revealed the next spate of events coming to their popular card game, Hearthstone, as they gear up for the spooky festivities of October. These events will feature their own theme within the larger update, offering a special reward for completing weekly objectives. In addition, each week will have their own unique requirements, offering special rewards for different milestones. For example, week 1 will feature a competition for the fastest Temple runs. You can earn card packs and special Golden versions of some cards as rewards in each week.

Tavern Brawls are a pretty unique game mode, and since they’re often easier to get into thanks to a less competitive meta-game, many players will gladly take on their weekly challenges. And with the recent launch of the Tombs of Terror Solo Adventure, it was only a matter of time until the theme made the jump to this lighter mode. Tavern Brawls will be getting a series of events called Doom in the Tomb, taking place over three weeks of events starting on October October 8 and ending October 30.

Finally, the Dual-Class Arena Hallow’s End Arena setup is coming back. Constructing an Arena deck in this setting will allow you to pick a Hero, Hero Power and card roster from a pair of classes, with a lot more variety for cards in particular.

Check it out down below.

And while they’re at it, Blizzard is also throwing in some news about the Wild format. For those unfamiliar, Wild is Legacy in Hearthstone, which allows players to bring any deck to bear they can create out of their collection without restrictions on overall sets. This is the place where you’re sure to see some bizarre and off-meta card choices, and it’s often much more chaotic as a result. Blizzard does restrict many cards from being played in Standard though, although from time to time the company will bring back certain cards to shake up the meta-game a bit. And that is exactly what happened here.

Here’s the returning Wild cards for each class being included in this update, meaning they will be unlocked for Standard play:
