Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery out today on iOS and Android
Time to board the Hogwarts Express, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out today on mobile platforms.
The free-to-play mobile game lets you create your own student and experience life at Hogwarts first-hand. Developer Jam City has worked closely with Portkey Games to develop and polish this title while remaining faithful to the source material.
Over the course of the game, you’ll travel across Hogwarts’ grounds, as well as Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley as you attend classes and deal with various challenges. In typical free-t0-play mobile game fashion, there are daily challenges and login bonuses to complete and collect as well.
And while other major characters from the universe won’t appear, some of the actors from the films reprise their characters through voice acting. Warwick Davis, Dame Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon all return to their iconic roles from the films in this game. This is mostly because the story of Hogwarts Mystery takes place nearly a decade before the story of the books.
Check out the trailer as well as an official blurb below:
In the game, players will progress as a student through Hogwarts, joining one of its four houses. Players will be able to create and upgrade personalized characters using an avatar customization system, learn an arsenal of magical skills, and form relationships with other students.
