Guilty Gear: Strive releasing this April on PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC

Guilty Gear: Strive Release Date

Arc System Works has announced more details, and released some new trailers, for Guilty Gear: Strive. The next fighting title from the legendary will debut for PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC. The game gets 15 total characters in its roster at launch. The game comes out on April 9, 2021 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The polished style of gameplay and solid experience offered to veteran fighting game fans comes back again in this new title. Check out the new trailer showcasing some of the action coming in Guilty Gear: Strive down below. The game’s next trailer will be landing on New Years Day, 2021, so look forward to that.

The company also revealed the next addition to the roster in a new trailer. Giovanna brings a simple but flash style to the game. Her unique look is styled with a rather intense wolf companion that makes her a serious threat in combat. She seems to be a more fast-moving and flexible character. She looks to do best in mid-range combat as her abilities shown in the trailer don’t showcase any long-range impact.

Giovanna’s attack animations seem to be very similar to Cammy White from the Street Fighter series. Both characters have Frankensteiner throws, spiral kicks and an acrobatic, close-range combat style.

The developers are also releasing more content via a Season Pass containing 5 additional characters, colors, two battle stages, an extra story and—for Ultimate Edition purchasers—a digital soundtrack. And if that’s not enough for you, that aforementioned Ultimate Edition and Deluxe Edition packages will be there as well. Those include three days of early access and the Season Pass bonuses.
