Guild Wars 2 Patch Notes – August 31, 2021

Guild Wars 2 Legendary Armory Patch Notes

Festival of the Four Winds has been brought back in Guild Wars 2. A new iteration of the new seasonal event will involve item turn-ins and other quests. Players can also take on a boss gauntlet of six different difficulties. The difficulty changes depending on the order you complete the bosses in. Take on this challenge in the Crown Pavilion. The Queen’s Gauntlet is another solo event that you can take on too. If you want a real challenge, take on this solo event. Completing the various events will give you Zephyrite rewards and loot you can claim from various vendors. Players will also earn achievements that are new this year. Players can grab stockpiles and other rewards from new nodes too.

The Twisted Marionette has returned on a two-hour timer. The Twisted Marionette’s entry point has been moved from the Scrying Pool to the Mist Stranger’s new location in the main hall. Some bugs with the event have also been fixed. Maps have also been moved around a bit.

Profession skills have been given a specific change to make the system less exploitable. Making changes to your skills, traits or specializations will reset your status. This will remove ongoing status effects, preventing players from being locked into a state when swapping class features. This should prevent bugs and other problems. This was a huge issue in PvP and other large game modes, this should make everyone less prone to crashing or other issues. It also prevents exploits of cloning buffs and traps.

Other changes include minor adjustments to specific classes. Players running Revenants and a few other classes might notice some bugs getting fixed.

Also, Windows XP and 32-bit OS versions have lost support. This is a way to bring the game forward for the patch in End of Dragons.

You can view the full patch notes for this new version down below.

Festival of the Four Winds

On behalf of Queen Jennah of Kryta, and the Captain’s Council of Lion’s Arch, you are cordially invited to participate in the return of the Festival of the Four Winds!

High atop the Labyrinthine Cliffs, our Zephyrite friends have been working in tandem with Lion’s Arch to host an incredible variety of fun vendors and events to entertain visitors from all across Tyria. This celebration of unity and peace between our cultures is more important than ever before, and we hope that you will join us in the festivities.

In this spirit of cooperation, Queen Jennah has personally overseen the reopening of the Crown Pavilion, featuring a variety of challenges for Tyria’s finest to test their mettle!

Transportation to the festivities couldn’t be easier! Special hot air balloons are now stationed in each nation’s capital city. Visitors can also sail directly from the ship in Lion’s Arch.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival!

Profession Skills

General

To improve the stability of the game, performing any of the following actions will “reset” your status, removing ongoing skill effects such as damaging area effects, traps, preparations, missiles, and many boons and profession-specific enhancements.

This process will clean up many possible broken states in which a skill effect could be present when it should not have been. Some of these states caused duplication of performance-intensive skills such as traps, which degraded server performance for everyone.

The actions that trigger this skill cleanup include the following:

Engineer

Pistol

Revenant

Thief
