Guild Wars 2 Legendary Armory Patch Notes

Guild Wars 2 Legendary Armory Patch Notes

The week of July 13, 2021, is here. That means that ArenaNet has issued a new patch for Guild Wars 2, aimed at making players take on some twisted new challenges. Among the changes is some pretty big returning content. There’s also a major rework to gear availability in there too. So let’s review the patch notes and see what to expect from the Guild Wars 2 Legendary Armory patch notes.

Wrath of the Twisted Marionette will be the newly returning PvE raid for the public to experience. This limited-time event during the next week will allow smaller player groups to queue up and experience what is normally a 50-man raid together. This is what ArenaNet is choosing to do to allow older content to get reintroduced to newer players. The Wrath of the Twisted Marionette is a version of content from Season 1, for those who weren’t around back then. You can access this content via the Scrying Pool in the Eye of the North.

So to be clear, the Marionette will be taking place as two events. The PuG version for 50 players remains, while the new public event version uses the Group Finder so that smaller groups can get into pools for the raid.

Along with the new PvE content comes yet another rework to all content in the game, indirectly, in the form of the Legendary Armory. The Legendary Armory allows players much finer control over their gear. The Legendary Armory is a new and improved way to manage your legendary gear and upgrades. Once a legendary item is added to the armory, it will be available to every level-80 character on your account.

You will no longer need to use Shared Inventory or Bank space to transfer legendary items around, this is a great change for crafters. And as long as you don’t bind items to the armory, you can continue to trade them to others. And along with that, comes better management of item templates, as you can copy gear from one template to another.

There are a few other changes in the Guild Wars 2 Legendary Armory patch notes as well. Access to the Eye of the North no longer requires the Path of Fire expansion, which means any players can get in on the new event. There are of course many other minor changes to talk about, check out the patch notes below for more details.

Wrath of the Twisted Marionette

Defeated long ago by Tyria’s defenders, the colossal Twisted Marionette was one of the demented Scarlet Briar’s most infamous creations. Now, its shadow lurks within the Scrying Pool, awaiting adventurers bold enough to test their might against the clockwork memory.
