Guide to cheats in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

How to get perks in Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is already a great sandbox game. The prospect of building your own feudal kingdom and leading armies into battle is a pretty compelling one for strategy and simulation fans, especially if you enjoyed the previous entries in the franchise. There is always something to do in this game, whether it’s leading a war against a rival, or executing a diplomatic mission to build alliances, the deep and varied factions around the game world always have something to hand the player to do.

But sometimes, you just want to be an unstoppable juggernaut of awesome. Sometimes you just want to be able to bypass some of the grind of making yourself into a powerful lord and jump straight to commanding armies. So if that’s you, here’s how to cheat in this amazing new game.

How to cheat in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

To use cheats in your singleplayer campaign, you will need to do the following:

  • Go to your Documents folder and open up Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord’s folder
  • Open the Configs folder
  • Open “engine_config.txt”
  • 14 lines down, you will find “cheat_mode = 0”, change the value to 1.

There are some caveats with cheats in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, at least according to current reports. For one thing, some users are reporting that cheating the manner described above may cause slowdowns, particularly in menus. The other is that some of these cheat combinations appear not to work as intended. Some suspect that these codes are just being posted online without verifying whether they work. I have yet to test them myself, but will include the ones here that have been reported to work.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord Cheat Codes

  • Ctrl + Left Click – Teleports you to the selected location on the world map
  • Ctrl + H – Fully heals you
  • CTRL+Shift+H – Fully heals your horse

As with most cheats in PC games, these cheat codes are actually debug tools used by the developers and modders who work on the game to test the code they create and how it behaves in the game itself.
