Grand Theft Auto V update improves loading times on next-gen

What’s in The GTA Online Contract Update?

The newest next-gen update for Grand Theft Auto V has landed. When the new title update just dropped for the console versions of Grand Theft Auto V, gamers got pretty excited to see what was coming. Gamers on console will notice that most of the changes here are just bug fixes, so no major drop of new content here.

The batch of fixes in this patch includes a lot of nebulous details. Grand Theft Auto V Update 1.56 also includes a bunch of basic fixes for crashes and other performance problems. The details aren’t included, but it seems like they focused mostly on gameplay-affecting crashes that lots of players reported.

A handful of gameplay mode fixes are also included in this patch. Gamers noted a few issues with mode switching and menus being unstable. Some of the most common issues have been fixed. And since this is a next-gen port, there are a few specific things that needed to be fixed. The devs included a fix for a hang that sometimes occurred with the Xbox Quick Resume feature.
