Gran Turismo Sport adds new cars in 1.29 patch

Gran Turismo Sport surpassed five million players

With the launch of the 1.29 update for Gran Turismo Sport, Polyphony Digital has rolled a bunch of new motors out of the garage and onto the track this week. In total, there are nine new vehicles in this update, focusing heavily on high-end Italian and Super GT motors.

This is a free update for PS4 and PS4 Pro users do head over to your systems and download the update. The patch also includes two new GT League events. F1 fans will recognize Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the primary Grand Prix track in Spain. Gran Turismo Sport is just getting better and better for racing fans.

The latest iteration of the legendary racing franchise, Gran Turismo, has been massively successful. Since the launch of the original game on the Playstation One in 1997, Gran Turismo has become the best-selling series for Sony in the first-party category, shifting more than 80 million copies overall. The company also added microtransactions back in July, which allowed gamers to pick up various cars in-game for Credits earned through races. The most recent patch back in September introduced new cars and tracks as well.
