Sundered is a strange game. By creating a ton of fusions with the insidious and distressing works of H.P. Lovecraft, the developer behind this indie darling found some easy success for horror fans looking for a fusion of horror and hack-and-slash elements. Now the Epic Games Store is giving away the game for free.
Thunder Lotus Games developed Sundered as a core hack-and-slash game. The game blends a variety of different mechanics and themes into quite the terrifying and intriguing indie game. Also, this is the same team behind the whimsical and challenging Jotun, so expect a polished and beautiful experience with some excellent themes.
Now, you can grab a copy for completely free. Starting today and running through Jan. 16. All you need to do is head over to the game’s official listing on the Epic Games Store, just grab the game via the store listing and start downloading. Interestingly enough, this free version is the premium Eldritch Edition of the game. It includes the Magnate of the Gong update which includes new levels and other content.
Following this week, Epic once again has another free game next week. On Jan. 16, Epic Games Store will be giving away platforming adventure Horace. The Epic Games Store has been giving away games since pretty much day one. Since the platform launched in Dec. 2018, players have been mixed on the whole thing. The constant exclusives and lacking features in the storefront have angered some. Many other gamers have simply just taken advantage of the dozens of free games Epic has given away to try and encourage repeat users.
