GGG announces new microtransactions for Hideouts and Pets

Path of Exile 3.6 Synthesis League

Once again, it’s a new week, and that means Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games has released some new microtransaction effects for players of the ARPG to buy into. These two new microtransactions offer some very distinct themes, each with their own unique appeal. There’s the Arctic Dragon Hunter pet which offers a fair bit of icy fun for POE players to pal around with. To me, it reminds me a fair bit of a certain icey dragon from A Song of Ice and Fire.

The second of the two new effects is the Sunspire Hideout Effect. This shiny bit of holy energy adds a new light beam to your custom Hideout, offering a bit of radiant goodness in the dark and bloody lands of Wraeclast. This effect is currently available as part of the Supporter Packs as well, if you want a bit of a deal to sweeten the pot when buying Points for other goodies on the POE shop.

You can check out these two new microtransactions in the preview trailers down below. GGG recently held a sale on Fire and Ice cosmetic items this past weekend, which ties right into the launch of the new season of a certain TV show, so that’s cool.

Path of Exile is currently free-to-play on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game offers a great mix of different gameplay types, with plenty of monsters to slay and loot to pick through. There’s some great reasons to play POE if you’re looking for that ARPG fix. So with some great deals on cosmetic coolness, and lots of free fun, why not give it a try.
