Path of Exile players are starting to tire of Synthesis League, as is the norm for the timed challenge leagues in Path of Exile. The ARPG developer, Grinding Gear Games, is planning to bring back a popular event to celebrate the end of Synthesis, and it’s one that might just bring some players back into the fold.
And much like previous Flashback events, this round of league round-robin mechanics will cram multiple game mechanics into a single month-long run. The basic idea is to pack in multiple previous league mechanics into a single map, with tons more fun and chaos, and a much more engaging leveling process. The game maps will include a wide array of previous leagues. It’s a good idea to go take a look at the wiki page to learn a bit about these past leagues before the event kicks off.
The maps will include multiple league mechanics, all at turned up ratios, making them much more common: Anarchy, Invasion, Breach, Ambush, Torment, Perandus, Beyond, Nemesis, Bloodlines, Abyss and Harbinger. Delve, Incursion and Betrayal will still be present, but turned down to their normal levels of occurrence. Also, Memory Voids will not spawn Breaches or Abyss nodes.
Each area in the game will have three random mods active at a time, with the selection of which mods are active rotating each hour.
Here are the numbers of each possible league mechanics should they spawn in each area:
- 2 additional Rogue Exiles
- 2 additional Invasion Bosses
- 1 additional Breach
- 2 additional Strongboxes
- 3 Tormented Spirits
- 2 additional Perandus Chests and a 33% chance to spawn Cadiro
- Beyond
- 3 additional Rare Monster Packs with Nemesis Mods
- 3 additional Magic Monster Packs with Bloodlines
- 1 additional Abyss
- 2 additional Harbingers
The event begins 9 AM on May 11th and ends 10 AM on June 4th (NZT) The event will be available for everyone on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
And the same as with previous events of this kind, GGG is offering different special cosmetic rewards and bonuses for players that take part in the event. Check down below for the full details of all the rewards that you can earn, and how to earn them. It’s pretty simple, if you hit certain level marks, you’re entered into a random drawing to win some free MTX effects. And anyone who reaches level 35 gets a free MTX loot box, a Glimmerwood Mystery box. And every character that takes part can be entered, so you have an incentive to play the event quite a lot.
