The new season for Fortnite is here. The Foundation is still causing chaos, what with flipping the island in Chapter 2. The game is just a zany as ever. One constant is the deluge of new skins that people want to chase after. And of course, a new season in Chapter 3 means more skins to win.
Marvel and Epic have been working together for many years, and this won’t change anytime soon. Players can get tons of heroic skins for their favorite heroes. This season, we’re getting a Spider-Man skin as a high-end reward. This reward is locked behind the Battle Pass for Season 1, which means you need Battle Stars.
How to get Battle Stars in Fortnite
Battle Stars are a seasonal currency that you can spend on rewards. Most of the cool cosmetics are tired to this system. There’s a lot more freedom in Chapter 3, as you earn Battle Stars when you level up and can exchange them to claim Battle Pass rewards you want. This lets you complete challenges and earn rewards in the order that works for you.
Each time you level up you will earn five Battle Stars. You can bank these to spend on more expensive items, like the Spider-Man skin. There are actually multiple forms of this skin as well. Look through the pages you see on the Battle Pass screen to see what’s there. At least three skin variants have been seen so far, and Epic could absolutely add more.
One of the major roadblocks is that the best skins are often locked behind higher tiers. This means you need to spend Stars on lower-end items first, this will then unlock better items. As you buy more Battle Pass rewards, you will see more come up to be claimed. Each page of the Battle Pass also has a special locked reward that is only available once all other rewards in that section are unlocked.
