Star Wars Battlefront II Celebration Edition

Battlefront II certainly didn’t have an easy launch. The version of the game lauched on all platforms with a rather infamous loot box system that paywalled literally progression in the game. As you might expect, people really hated it. EA and DICE had to rush to quell the fires of outrage, and ended up patching out the entire loot box system. That was all well and good. But it did spell some nightmarish outcomes for the future of the franchise.

As time went on, things did get better. The game was steadily updated with new maps, heroes and more to keep folks engaged. The mixture of multplayer and singleplayer campaign was pretty good, for what it was. The game even got tie-in content to the  Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film that added various characters like Rey and Kylo Ren.

The version the game being given away is the Celebration Edition version, which includes all the content released for the game so far. So you can choose from a variety of heroes and abilities to be used in matches online.

The Epic Games Store has been giving away games every week for a while now. Millions of PC gamers have been getting tons of excellent AAA and indie titles, all for free. This huge update was released a while ago, and put in a bunch of changes and improved content to the game. And the EGS version has all that from the get go. New skins, maps and more are all ready to go. And yes, that even means stuff like the Sith Troopers are in the mix as well.
