Genshin Impact on PlayStation 5 has finally been confirmed. The announcement of the new port revealed a new trailer showing off the game. The PC, mobile and PS4 versions have inserted the RPG into a comfortable spot at the top of the charts. Millions have played the game since launch. As more and more gamers get involved, things are only going to get better from here.
No release date has been revealed yet. So far, we only have that “coming soon” bit to go by. For now, we just have to wait to see what the new version comes out looking like.
With the incredibly powerful graphical hardware of the PS5, this version should really shine graphically. And best of all, all the content from the other versions will eventually make it to the PlayStation 5 port. The game will run at 4K, with all the graphical effects amped up. Thanks to the customized SSD architecture in the PlayStation 5, there will be much-improved loading times for users as well.
Here’s how the team behind the project described being able to get their hands on the console for this game:
“The PlayStation®5 is an ideal platform to enhance the vast open world featuring in Genshin Impact, allowing the team to incorporate more thoughts and ideas into the game, both now and in the future,” said Forrest Liu, President of miHoYo. “That’s why we’ve been working to bring the native PlayStation®5 version of the game to our players as soon as we could.”
All this is pretty great, and with the Switch version still on the way, it won’t be too long until Nintendo fans get to join in on the fun. This has had people freaking out for some time. But thanks to delays and the trouble of development, there has been little news on that front. The game may be waiting for the Switch Pro to finally come out. We will have to wait and see if that comes true. For now, though, we at least have Genshin Impact on PlayStation 5 to look forward to.
