The story of MiHoYo’s free-to-play RPG, Genshin Impact, is getting pretty wild. The developer has just launched a new set of trailers for the update that’s coming next month, and it’s really interesting to see what they have planned. The first of the new trailers shows off the new boss of the content, adding a fiery new dino to the mix. The trailer also teases what appear to be expanded elemental dungeons with elemental puzzles in them. Expect to fight waves of enemies in the new areas of the Genshin Impact 1.3 Update.
What is Genshin Impact 1.3 Update?
The story centers around the title of “All That Glitters” and spurs the player towards figuring out what mysterious new photos in the game world mean. It seems that everyone is busy taking pictures of beautiful vistas, without paying too much attention. The new storyline deals with how the player handles some sinister new evil that stems from these wondrous new inventions in the Genshin Impact 1.3 Update.
This all ties into the Lantern Rite event and how it impacts the world, maybe there’s something new headed our way on that front.
Another trailer was also released that showcased the title character, Xiao, in more detail. And since it’s a new 5-star character, the game is getting a new Xiao banner when the new patch lands. Xiao is an anemo character, offering a unique twist on the elemental reactions in the roster so far. He’s very gruff, and seems to have a dark past. At the very least, he is a terrific fighter who will be handy in a fight.
Aside from Xiao there don’t seem to be any other new characters revealed yet, although some leakers and fans have speculated that Hu Tao and others may join in. If the leaks are true, Hu Tao will join the game with abilities that rival some other great support characters. The More The Better is one such ability that offers 18% chance of getting an extra “strange” quality food from cooking. Another ability called Blood Plum will cost HP to activate, but deals tons of Fire damage over time.
