Frontier Developments plans a convention for Elite: Dangerous in October

Elite-Dangerous-2

This October, Frontier Developments is bringing the fans of their games together for a on-day convention in London. Frontier Developments announced the upcoming Frontier Expo 2017 in London’s Olympic Park, a one-day convention on October 7th devoted to both of the studio’s games and what comes next for the titles.

It is not immediately clear how much overlap there may between the fandoms for the two games, but that may be part of the entertainment.

The convention will include details about both games, upcoming plans for new features and updates and some panels on various topics. And as expected, the convention will function as a celebration of the communities for these games. Frontier will also be unveiling an entirely new game.

“Frontier Expo is all about Frontier’s incredible community. Our journey into the world of self-publishing wouldn’t have been possible without the terrific communities that have assembled around Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster. We’ve held community events before but we’ve never had the opportunity to celebrate our current games with the players and look to the studio’s future all at one event. We can’t wait to meet everyone this October.”

Tickets will go on sale on Friday and can be picked up from the expo’s website.
