Forza Horizon 4 Spring gameplay livestream showcases Edinburgh

Forza Horizon 4 Spring Gameplay

Today Forza Horizon 4 developer Playground Games and Microsoft released a new large chunk of gameplay for the upcoming racing game.

As we saw in the collection of previous gameplay snippets and livestreams for Forza Horizon 4, the focus on a new weather system is really important this time around.

In addition to the new weather effects and their impact on races, we also get a really close-up tour of the city of Edinburgh. The city will play a crucial role in Forza Horizon 4. With certain areas from the rest of Great Britain featuring in the game as well. The dev team is working really hard to not only include famous landmarks from around the area, but to ensure that the appearance and layout of the various areas in the game is faithfully represented. It’s all paying off really well judging from the trailers and other previews we’ve seen. Although this does mean some sacrifices had to be made. The massive London landscape is absent from the game because it’s simply too big and complex to accurately recreate in Forza Horizon 4. So we’ll just have to do without London this time around.

The video also showcased on the soundtrack and on the recording for the McLaren Senna cover car, alongside the Team Adventure online co-op feature.

And new expanded co-op content isn’t the only thing being added in Forza Horizon 4, there’s also a new way for players to earn in-game cash to spend on new rides. Players can run rental businesses and other properties to make money that they can then use to purchase new cars to cruise around in.

Forza Horizon 4 launches on October 2nd for Xbox One and Windows 10. You can check out the full Spring stream video down below.
