Fortnite Season 8 Vaults Shopping Cart and Other Vehicles

Fortnite Season 8 Vaults Shopping Cart

After the ongoing teases for Fortnite Season 8, the patch is finally live in-game.

There’s a ton of new content, and a bunch of changes to the existing content. The 8.00 patch introduces the new Battle Pass, with more than 100 new levels, each with their own rewards for completion. Serious Fortnite players have tons of new incentive to explore the island this season.

Speaking of the island, Season 8 has brought a slew of new changes to the map in-line with the brand new pirate theme in-game. One change is the new Pirate Cannons dotted around the map which can be used to bombard enemy structures. Areas like Sunny Steps and Lazy Lagoon have been massively changed with this patch too. There’s a new volcano which adds new exploration areas for players to fool around with.

To give players more things to do, two new Limited Time Modes (LTMs) have been brought into the conflict. There’s Close Encounters which forces players to fly around with jetpacks blasting each other in the face with shotguns. Then there is the 50v50 Mode which  throws two teams in a struggle for dominance, first team to dominate the map wins.

But as is the case with other patches, new items have been Vaulted. Here’s the full list:

  • Sneaky Snowman
  • Chiller Grenade
  • X-4 Stormwing
  • Shopping Cart
  • All Terrain Kart

Some of these removals aren’t that much of a surprise. The aerial vehicles like the X-4 Stormwing were pretty gamebreaking according to many fans. Also, many players didn’t bother using them, often citing a feeling of restricted movement compared to other options like Rifts. The removal of these vehicles does reduce the number of vehicles in Fortnite, to a paltry 2, but I don’t think players will miss them that much.

Epic is planning to introduce a new vehicle to join the roster with the quadcrusher and the driftboard, but no details are available for that yet.

Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
