Fortnite Season 6 begins Battle Pass trailer released

Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass

Epic has announced the beginning of Season 6 and it’s associated Battle Pass for Fortnite. Season 6 of Fortnite, like previous seasons, has it’s own custom theme which brings in new gameplay elements and map changes. The theme for this round is Darkness Rises.

The aesthetic is clearly inspired by Halloween, with lots of creepy castles and ruins dotting the map. And then there’s the roving packs of werewolves and vampires all over the map as well. But it’s not just non-gameplay-affecting additions added this round either.

Areas of the map are now “corrupted” by a cube, with new locales such as Wailing Woods and the Haunted Castle. These corrupted areas contain “Shadow Stones,” which allow the player to remain invisible while not moving, and the phase through walls while you are. The downside of these consumable items is that you lose the ability to use weapons.

And of course, the Season 6 content is part of the Battle Pass system. Players who buy into the Battle Pass this season will get plenty of themed rewards. Skins and new pets are a big draw here. Expect things like vampires, dragons and demon hunters. There’s a lot of cool costumes in this bundle, so check it out.

The season 6 Battle Pass will set players back by 950 V-bucks or approximately $10. You can check out a trailer for this new version of the paid premium addon down below.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS devices. An Android beta is currently taking place. If you want to pick up a new bundle Microsoft has announced a new Xbox One S bundle for this game. And even the Nintendo Switch is getting a custom Fortnite bundle.
