Fortnite Halloween event start date allegedly leaks

Fortnite Halloween 2018 Event

The Halloween event for Fortnite has been leaked via a Playstation 4 community event listing.

In terms of rewards, it seems like there’s a lot of similarity with other seasonal events with rewards like skins tied into the Battle Pass system. The Battle Pass system, which recently launched for Season 6, rewards players with custom skins and V-Bucks, in exchange for a single upfront price. One change is that this Halloween event

And even though the page looks official, it’s entirely possible it’s a fake due to multiple inconsistencies.

The start time of the event doesn’t align with the typical patch cycle for Fortnite Week events. the event will apparently start on Wednesday, October 24th, according to the leaked page. It’s odd that the event would end on Sunday and not the following Tuesday, like other events in the game.

The Wednesday start date makes sense since Fortnite starts a new week every Wednesday with a new update. However, the 11:00am start time is confusing since the updates and the new week go live somewhere around 2 or 3am PT.

According to the current details, the Fortnitemares event will feature Spooky Rewards and challenges, and it will last until Sunday, November 4th. It’s all subject to change though, or it could be a work, so take all of this with a grain of salt.

In other Fortnite news, the PvE Save the World mode won’t go free-to-play until 2019 at least. The devs also recently deployed the 6.10 patch adding new vehicles like the Quadcrasher.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch and mobile devices.
