Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a lot of bugs and fish, like a ton. There’s also a rotating roster of bugs, fish and sea creatures that can be caught. Each month, the types of critters you can catch change. The game always has some things to do and you have tons of creatures to add to your museum and the like. If you want to get them all though, that takes a lot of work.
Here are the bugs, fish and sea creatures that are leaving in April, and won’t be back for some time. So you will want to check the lists below to see if there are any that you’re missing. If you are, hop into ACNH and grab them this month.
Bugs Leaving in April in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Emperor Butterfly
The Emperor Butterfly is the only bug that’s leaving the game for a time in April. It’s not too hard to get throughout the year. It spawns from 5pm to 8am and has a very distinctive black and blue color. It won’t be back until June if you miss it now.
Fish Leaving in April in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Bitterling
- Yellow Perch
- Stringfish
- Sturgeon
- Sea Butterfly
- Football Fish
You can find Bitterlings all over the place. These spawn in rivers from the shadows with a very small size. They can be found during the day, November to March. The Yellow Perch is in the game from October to March, and can be found in rivers at any time of the day. The Stringfish is only available from December to March and will spawn in any inland body of water from a larger shadow from 4pm to 9am. Sturgeons are another rare large fish, you find these in the mouths of rivers at any time between September and March.
Other fish leaving after this month include the Sea Butterfly. This little scaley friend is going until December, and can be caught out in the ocean ata ny time of day. The Football Fish will spawn from the sea anytime between 4 PM and 9 AM.
Deep Sea Creatures Leaving in April in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The singular Sea Creature going away at the end of March is the Red King Crab. This hiding crustacean can be found randomly while deep-sea diving. It only spawns in -game from November through March.
