Fire Emblem: Three Houses Story Trailer Revealed at E3 2019

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Story Trailer

As part of the Nintendo Direct at E3 2019, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo revealed a new tactical RPG that has fans of the genre extremely happy. The newest title in the legendary Fire Emblem series of video games is coming to the Switch quite soon.

Fire Emblem is a long-standing franchise in the vein of tactical RPGs. The general idea in terms of gameplay is to build an army and take said allies into battle. The story was often told through the perspective of the various people you interacted with, offering differing perspectives on a battle, story development or other issues. This led to players falling in love with their favorite characters as they fought their way across the worlds offered by the various games.

The newest game, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, takes this concept and massively expands upon it. Not only does the basic idea return, it offers a new and expanded cast of more fleshed out characters. The three main factions in the game are three noble houses known as The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, and The Golden Deer. The big change here is that this game takes place at a sort-of magical school called the Officers Academy. So basically it’s a fusion between school life anime drama and an amazing RPG series.

This new title is co-developed by Intelligent Systems, who ran solo on all of the previous games, but that team is now collaborating with Koei Tecmo on Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Check out the trailer for the new Switch tactical RPG down below. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is releasing on July 26, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
