There are many different hidden and key items you need throughout the Pokémon games. The key item hunt is one of the more laborious parts of these games, and it’s probably the one that most confuses new players. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl continue this trend with various items you need to find to get hidden items. in some cases, you trade these items for TMs or strong Pokémon, other times you need to them to get past some block.

Each town you visit has various puzzles to solve, and that includes Valor Lakefront. When you get here, there’s a hotel that has a locked room. Check the building far north in the zone, and there will be a woman that has lost the key to her suite. You need to find the Suite Key in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to let her back in.

To find her key, talk to her for a hint. She says that she left it near reception, so head there. Head towards the southern edge of the map, Down a set of stairs, and nestled into some cliffs, is the reception building. Don’t head inside, the Suite Key is actually on the ground outside. Just below the stairs leading west, hit A to find the Suite Key. It’s kind of finicky as the building blocks your view, but you should be able to find it. Just keep hitting A until you get the item off the ground.

Once you have the key, take it back to the woman and she will give you a Lava Cookie for your trouble.
