Stormblood

Patch 4.01 is out for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, and it’s pretty cool. You can find the full patch notes here. I’ll also try to include some relevant bits below.

Additions to Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood include a new Chronicles of the New Era quest called ‘The Hunt for Omega’ (with a level 70 requirement), and a new raid dungeon called Omega: Deltascape (also level 70). Expect new items and mounts as well. A handful of class abilities have been adjusted for the Bard, Dark Knight, Marauder/Warrior, Ninja, and Gladiator/Paladin.

Actions and traits have been adjusted as follows:

Here are the details for the new dungeon:

Rewards

Treasure coffers that appear upon completing Omega: Deltascape will not yield gear, but instead yield tokens that can be traded for gear of your choosing.

You can only receive one token per version (area) each week. In the event you are awarded a token from the loot list, you relinquish your right to vie for all remaining tokens regardless of whether you selected Need or Greed. Also note that there is no weekly restriction on entering Omega: Deltascape.
* Reward eligibility is reset every Tuesday at 8:00 (GMT) / 9:00 (BST).

Item Exchange

By speaking with Gelfradus in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:13.7 Y:12.0), players can exchange tokens obtained from Omega: Deltascape for corresponding gear.

Item Type Required Token / Number of Tokens
Head Deltascape Lens x 2
Body Deltascape Shaft x 4
Hands Deltascape Crank x 2
Waist Deltascape Chain x 1

Completion Reward

Players will also receive a Deltascape crystalloid once per week after completing Deltascape V4.0. Deltascape crystalloids can be exchanged for early model tomestones by speaking with the NPC Gelfradus in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:13.7 Y:12.0). Early model tomestones are used in the purchase of new weapons.
* Reward eligibility will be reset every Tuesday at 8:00 (GMT) / 9:00 (BST).
* Weapons will be available for exchange after the introduction of Allagan tomestones of creation, which are scheduled to be released two weeks after patch 4.01.
