Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming soon, and despite it being delayed a bit, there’s a ton of hype from classic RPG fans surrounding the game. The hype of revisiting Midgar and the rest of the iconic locales in the game has a lot of people wanting to see more. So it’s with much joy that Square Enix released some new videos showcasing some new summons coming to the game. These new summons are all linked to various DLC for the remade game, and each one takes a different iconic part of the Final Fantasy franchise and updates it in some way for the new game.
The new special summons in Final Fantasy VII Remake are Chocobo Chick, Carbuncle and a Cactuar. You can see the first of these in the video down below. Chocobo Chick will be limited to pre-orders, Carbuncle is a Digital Deluxe and 1st Class Edition‘s bonus, and Cactuar will come with every Deluxe Edition.
The new visuals are certainly a change for many who are very used to the rudimentary 3D models and sprite work of the PSX original game. The Carbuncle and Chocobo Chick designs have drawn some backlash online from some more hardcore fans, but still, it’s nice to see these elements coming forward into the remake. Don’t let such a minor element spoil your fun.
The game has been delayed to April 10, 2020, and that has disappointed many. The fact that the RPG will be exclusive to the PS4 for some time after launch also has many in a huff.
