Farming Simulator 19 patches in landscaping

GIANTS Software has listened to fan feedback, and with a new patch the devs have added a new feature that many fans wanted into Farming Simulator 19. The first major patch for the massively popular farming game brings a bunch of other changes to the table aside from landscaping too.

From the launch of the title, fans and critics found a fair bit to praise, and plenty to criticize in Farming Simulator 19. While the upgraded visuals and massively expanded gameplay mechanics, which included lots of new ways to earn money, were a good thing for fans; one thing in particular was missing, gamers were unable to shape the landscape of their farm plots, leaving a major source of customization and creativity absent from the game.

GIANTS Software heard the resulting feedback, and has enabled a full terrain sculpting system with the latest patch.

The landscaping is a pretty simple and effective tool. Players pay in-game cash to shape the terrain in a variety of ways. Landscaping can be used for anything from moving mountains to touching up the areas around your horse paddock. It’s pretty cool to see such customization being added in at the behest of fans.

Also included in the update is a rebalance to the difficulty in the game. Farming Simulator 19 will now make it easier to earn cash when selling livestock, crops or machinery on lower difficulties, but will reduce the payout on harder settings, making it much more challenging for serious players.

Farming Simulator 19 is out now for PC/Mac, PS4 and Xbox One. If you want to get a feel for how the new landscaping tools work in-game, check out a short gameplay teaser down below.
