Gamescom 2018 is underway, and now we’ve got some new gameplay teasers for the upcoming survival title, Fallout 76.
In this latest trailer, the devs showcase how the game will handle players getting their C.A.M.P. bases wiped out. Well, not really, because your bases can be saved as a sort of blueprint that can be placed down anywhere. This means that if you do happen to get wiped out by enemy raiders, you can simply pick up and move elsewhere.
With base-building being a major focus in the game, it makes sense that this kind of a system would be in Fallout 76. And since Fallout 76 penalizes griefers by turning on bounties against them, the game is focusing pretty hard on preventing players from stopping other players from enjoying the game.
It won’t be easy to survive in Fallout 76 though, as top level players can nuke entire areas of the map if they want to, assuming they survive long enough to unlock the ability that is. And even though game is trying to take it easy on weaker players, the typical sarcastic wit that defines the humorous tone of the franchise will mercilessly mock players that fail to live up to snuff.
