Can you play Call of Duty: Warzone solo?

The mechanics of Call of Duty: Warzone are unforgiving. The new shooter addon for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare mixes the Battle Royale craze with furiously fast gunplay to create what some are calling the new big gun in the genre. There is a ton of stuff to do aside from jus the shooting, with all the vehicles and wide-open maps, there’s plenty of opportunity for chaos. There are also plenty of different mechanics and ways to play, so don’t feel tied down in this new game.

For example, even though you can play solo, you’re encouraged to play with a team due to how punishing solo play can be. Players playing with a team have to pay in-game Cash to revive their mates, without a team, you’re eliminated from reviving entirely. But how do you get money? There are plenty of side activities in the new standalone mode that allow this to happen.

The special drops are highlighted as Bounties, and they’re one of the best sources for Cash in the game.

Bounty Contracts are small challenges that you will randomly encounter in a given match. These can also drop as weekly challenges so keep an eye out for them there too. These miniature missions are scattered across the entire map, but they appear to be sometimes locked to a certain area of the map. As for what contract types that drop, it appears to be randomized. Assassination contracts task the player that activates them with killing a specific opponent. Assassination targets will get an in-game warning when they are targeted, so you won’t be surprised when you get a pop-up in-game warning you of such a  development in a match.

There are also Supply contracts that require the player to take items to an objective zone. Your objective for any contract will show up as a large yellow circle on the minimap.

Completing each contract will reward a small bundle of Cash as a starter, with various items also sometimes being given out.
