ExileCon begins soon, here’s what’s happening

What to Expect from the Exilecon Livestream

The first Path of Exile convention is coming soon. The convention will kick off in Auckland, New Zealand over the weekend of November 16-17 (NZ Time). Approximately half of the content of the event will be streamed live for free online, with the rest of the content to be trickled out via GGG news updates over the next few weeks. The company is planning to announce a full schedule for ExileCon later this week, so be on the lookout for that.

Lucky for POE fans though, the company is teasing a bunch of the bits of content they’re bringing to the main stage for the event itself. Of course, the big news is that Grinding Gear Games is showing off the next two expansions for their game. First up is a a gameplay demo of 4.0.0, the new mega expansion that the company has planned. No details for what the expansion will contain, but fans are excited to see when it finally premieres. The next 3.9 expansion will also be shown at the event, but unlike 4.0 it will be a full reveal.

Senior developers and the streamers helping to host the events will do a full dive on the upcoming expansion, showing off all of the new content and gameplay mechanics. After the 3.9.0 deep dive, the hosts will also go into a similar deep dive for the 4.0.0 mega-expansion, showing off new gameplay elements coming in the massive update.

In addition to the pre-show, keynote speech and demo reels GGG will probably be dropping around 4-5 hours overall on just the first day on stream. In total another seven hours the second day will feature within the convention and its various talks and features.

When you’re looking to watch, be sure to head over to the Path of Exile Twitch stream to see the action live.
