eFootball 2022 promises first patch on October 28

eFootball PES 2020

eFootball 2022 has not had a smooth launch. The rebranding of Konami’s soccer/football franchise has been plagued by bugs. The entire experience was hated by many players thanks to numerous bugs.

statement posted to Twitter reads: “We apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced with the game. We are preparing to release version 0.9.1 of eFootball 2022 on 28th October. This will focus on fixing the issues already reported and those you continue to report. We will update you with more details as we move forwards as well as address your feedback and requests in future updates.”

The update comes after Konami has been trying to compete with the monster that is FiFA games. Additions to the franchise have been debuting to much lower player interest. Last year, Konami dropped the long-running PES moniker to try and bring new life into the franchise. it would seem other issues should have been more focused on than a rebrand.

The game launched last week with a number of issues. Players noted that models were bugged across many modes, and many features seemed very unfinished. And it took this long for Konami and co. to respond. Gamers and fans have been waiting for a response, and a fix, for eFootball 2022. The game is finally getting that, but not for a while.

According to the developers, the eFootball 2022 patch will be due before the end of the month. It will be part of a free update, so anyone can apply it. So until then, fans will just have to put up with a very buggy game.
