Dying Light’s Bad Blood battle royale coming to Early Access

Dying Light Bad Blood heads to Early Access

Dying Light: Bad Blood is headed for the battlefield. Techland has revealed new details about the game. Chief among these new announcements, is the fact that the battle royale game is headed for Early Access on Steam.

When the game launches on Steam, it will be priced at $19.99 via the Founder’s Pack which includes:

  • Dying Light: Bad Blood (game)
  • Exclusive Golden Founder’s Mask
  • 3 exclusive Legendary weapon skins: Golden Neckslicer (dagger), Golden Bonecleaver (machete), and Golden Skullopener (cricket bat).
  • 1000 Blood bucks, the in-game currency spendable in the game’s store
  • Bonus: 3 exclusive Legendary skins distributed over 3 months

In terms of gameplay Dying Light: Bad Blood is a frantic 12-player murder fest complete with zombies. Players will still need to scavenge for weapons and pick up vials from the infected in order to level up. As players level up, they gain access to new perks and abilities that make them much deadlier in combat. At some point during a match though, things change and players will eventually be forced together. And once that happens, all bets are off as players compete to be the last person standing. This means that PvE and PvP elements will mix together into one bloody stew when the game finally goes live.

Playtests are incoming as well, beginning on August 25. You can find out how to take part over on the official site. Progress will carry over from these testing phases into the base game as well, so you don’t need to worry about losing your time spent with the game when testing ends.
