This week’s Dungeons and Dragons Online patch could be quite exciting for players, especially if you happen to play a Cleric or a Favored Soul class.
Update 36 Patch 2 adds, for the first time, domain choices for Clerics. Now player Clerics can specialize in one of 19 total domains and gain feats from them as they level. These domains offer another level of character build customization for the Cleric class. these new domains include Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Animal, Death, Chaos, Destruction, Good, Healing, Knowledge, Law, Luck, Magic, Protection, Strength, Sun, Trickery, and War. Each of these new choices will typically confer base stat bonuses at low levels and new abilities at higher levels. They all use a tiered progression system tied to levels 2, 5, 9 and 14.
Favored Soul classes also get their day in the sun, benefiting from increased starter stats and two additional feat choices at levels two and seven. The patch also improved the Mimic Hunt event, with new rewards and new ways to earn those goodies.
The patch also includes handful of minor bugfixes and tweaks to items, abilities and quests.
Looking ahead to the future? Then you might want to check out the game’s latest livestream, during which Standing Stone teased both the logo and the music for the upcoming Mists of Ravenloft expansion. The changes are headed to the PTR for testing later this week, so be on the lookout for those.
