Dragon Quest Builders 2 shows off new PS4 gameplay ahead of demo release
Square Enix has published new gameplay footage, as well as some other details about Dragon Quest Builders 2: Destruction God Malroth and the Empty Island this week.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 plays as one would expect, as a fusion of JRPG and farm sim elements, it’s very much like Toriyama made his own unique version of the Harvest Moon series. The hero journeys alongside a colorful cast of characters as they build out their own dream settlement. As players interact with NPCs and build new structures, they unlock more and more new parts like furniture and building components to create their desired towns. These NPCs will then help you build, and as you upgrade their stats, they become even more effective workers.
During a recent stream, Square Enix revealed more details about the game, as well as some basic gameplay. Another tidbit showed that the game will get a Japanese demo some time in the future. But since no Western release has been announced, no news about a localized demo for Dragon Quest Builders 2.
Dragon Quest Builders 2: Destruction God Malroth and the Empty Island will release for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 20th. The game has no Western release announced for now. Check out the gameplay footage of the game down below. Learn more about the game at the official site.
