Players who enjoyed Dragon Ball Z Kakarot are in for some good news this week. The game is getting a bunch of expanded story and new content as part of the newest batch of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot DLC. The new DLC is titled A New Power Awakens – Part 2 and deals with a bunch of storylines from the expanded universe of Dragon Ball.
The biggest focus of the new DLC is revealed by the description from Bandai Namco. The game is diving into the legend of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, as well as a variety of Dragon Ball Super content. So if you’ve wanted to battle Golden Frieza, here’s your chance. And here’s how that official description describes the whole bundle of content coming to the game.
“Experience the story of Dragon Ball Z from epic events to light-hearted side quests, including never-before-seen story moments that answer some burning questions of Dragon Ball lore for the first time!
Play through iconic Dragon Ball Z battles on a scale unlike any other. Fight across vast battlefields with destructible environments and experience epic boss battles against the most iconic foes (Raditz, Frieza, Cell etc…). Increase your power level through RPG mechanics and rise to the challenge!
Don’t just fight as Z Fighters. Live like them! Fish, fly, eat, train, and battle your way through the Dragon Ball Z sagas, making friends and building relationships with a massive cast of Dragon Ball characters.
Relive the story of Goku and other Z Fighters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot! Aside from adding new versions of Goku and Vegeta, the second DLC will presumably introduce more characters as well. No release date has been confirmed for the second DLC pack as of yet.
