Dragon Ball FighterZ announces two new DLC characters

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Datamining efforts speculated at the newest DLC characters coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ, well now they’ve been confirmed.

According to the latest issue of V-Jump magazine in Japan, the first two DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ are Broly and Bardock. Unfortunately, no release date was announced, and while it’s not clear how much each fighter will cost as a standalone purchase, they are both part of the $34.99 season pass.

Broly, the legendary Super Saiyan who hates Goku for crying as a baby, yes really, is one of the strongest characters from the anime. He’s also immensely popular with fans of the franchise, despite not being technically canon because his storyline only exists in the DBZ films.

Bardock, the father of Goku was also a product of the DBZ films, and despite not being anywhere near as powerful as his son, he’s still a popular character. His storyline took place shortly before Frieza destroyed the Saiyan homeworld. His attempts to stop that destruction obviously failed.

And if that datamining leak remains true, considering this confirmation, it’s a safe bet that the future DLC characters will consist of Zamasu, Vegito, Cooler, and Ranger Android 17.

No release date has been announced yet.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
