Don’t expect any news for The Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield in 2020

Bethesda’s Pete Hines took to Twitter to deliver a tongue-in-cheek remark about the future of both they’re major AAA titles, and that news is grim for fans who were hoping to hear more. In short terms, don’t expect to hear anything about either game in 2020.

Starfield, the newly announced first-person RPG that’s set in space, has been all but a mystery since it was announced at E3 2018. Bethesda hasn’t said much about the game at all, and was equally quiet when it comes to The Elder Scrolls 6. All we got about the latter was a short teaser reel and a confirmation that it’s being worked on in the last two years. So with nothing new happening for either project, fans will just have to wait.

And of course, this has led to gamers to go nuts with speculation. And then Pete Hines came back to clarify a little bit, saying that there just isn’t anything worth sharing. The fans waiting with bated breath will probably have to wait until 2021 before they hear anything though. There’s no indication if there’s news coming through for either The Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield in 2021 either.

There haven’t been any big leaks or rumors about either game so far, probably because the game is still in very early production. And with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there’s unlikely to be much movement on the project as it would likely involve some serious violations of social distancing mandates if the workforce came back to the office to work on either game.
