Do not use AdClerks

ISKMogul Adventures

This is a general PSA to both my readers and advertisers, AdClerks, the third-party company I have been using to sell ad space on ISKMogul, is no longer paying out money owed to publishers like ISKMogul. In the last two months, more than $150 in ad sales was accrued through their service. But starting back in June they made a change that had me very skeptical of their future, and now my suspicions have been realized.

Rather sneakily, AdClerks changed their payout policies and instituted a Net45 payment schedule. This means that publishers have to wait 45 days to cash out any sales they make. The old policy, and the one still listed on their support section, lists payment dates as the 25th of every month. The nature of this sudden change and the fact that the announcement on their blog, which is the only place it’s actually announced, being so horribly written immediately set alarm bells off in my head.

And as of August, I had two payments pending and an additional amount waiting to be confirmed so I could request payment. AdClerks has yet to pay on either of these two pending amounts and despite many emails, have given no indication that they’re even active anymore. In essence, I’ve just lost out on a large sum of money, but I guess it will just have to be a lesson going forward.

To deal with this issue, we’ve now fully switched ad providers and will be removing AdClerks code from our site effective immediately.

We’ve now setup ad sales on another marketplace, so if you want to buy advertising space with us, head over to Adsella.

If you’re a current advertiser with AdClerks, we strongly recommend you stop using them immediately. And if you advertise here at ISKMogul through that site, please reach out to us via our contact page and we can work out an agreement to run your ad directly on the site, so the money you spent on that shady service doesn’t go to waste.

The products below are affiliate links, we get a commission for any purchases made. If you want to help support ISKMogul at no additional cost, we really appreciate it.
