Diablo 4 Barbarian, Sorceress & Druid gameplay footage release

Diablo 4 Gameplay Trailer Revealed

With the full revel of Diablo 4, Blizzard has fanned the flames of gamer RPG fandom to pretty extreme heights. Players are very excited to return to the ancient realms and play out the conflicts between demonic and angelic forces once again. The long-running war between the forces of good and not-so-good has come to a head once again, bringing with it untold amounts of death. Only the player, and their chosen class of warrior, can put a stop to it.

Diablo IV takes place many years after the events of Diablo III Lilith has returned to Sanctuary, and brings with her a literal army of the dead, and those that might wish they were. The cursed legions of this new arch enemy will be many, and you’re going to want to be careful about which class you pick, as each one has their own strengths and weaknesses. And with the massive open-world, there’s going to be plenty of enemies to slaughter.

Of course we don’t know when the saga of this legenadry RPG franchise continues, but at least Blizzard has been kind enough to help ease the wait with some preview. Game Informer got lucky and got multiple bits of hands-on time with three of the new classes, showcasing some of their skills.

The Druid is a tanky mix of spellcaster and melee. With the ability to swap between human, half-bear, and half-wolf forms based on the build chosen, there’s a lot of versatility. And he even gets to summon a pair of wolf companions if he’s in the mood for some pack buddies. Controlling animal companions evokes some feelings of the Hunter play style in various MMOs, with both focus-fire and general defensive options available.

The Sorceress is another class choice known well from the days of Diablo II. This caster has a multitude of different spells at their disposal, opting for either focused or AoE attacks will be a cinch with this option. Fireballs, shock novas and ice blasts are all on the table for this badass.

The trusty Barbarian on the other hand, is a much more direct and tangible threat to the forces of the High Heavens and Burning Hells. This class can swap between either dual-wielding one-handed weapons, or slicing through foes with a massive two-handed blade. Either way, you’re an engine of bloodshed with this pick.
