Devil May Cry 5 footage showcases new combat moves and costume options

Devil May Cry 5 NYCC Gameplay Footage

A ton of new gameplay footage for Devil May Cry 5 has been leaked from a stage event at New York Comic Con. Capcom teased a variety of gameplay modes, new moves and other features for the upcoming action game during said event.

A lot of the gameplay footage focuses on Nero and Dante in action, and it’s all really stylish. We see Dante and Nero both using Devil Triggers, each with their own weird names which are totally fitting for the over-the-top nature of the DMC franchise. For example, we see Nero using Sweet Surrender and Pasta Breaker in some still shots.

In addition to these new abilities, the various characters also have both trusty iconic weapons, as well as some new Devil Arms with which to blast enemies to bits. Each Devil Arm has a unique combat style and associated string of abilities, and we see teases of a few of these combinations in the newly released gameplay. Fans of the franchise will recognize Cerberus, complete with three new combat modes that each have different strengths and weaknesses. There’s even some brutal combos involving that badass bike, Cavaliere.

If you want to see more about Devil May Cry 5, you should take a look at some new footage of Dante being a boss. And then there’s this other awesome gameplay trailer you need to see. There’s also the excellent reveal featuring the blue bomber Mega Man and the Mega Buster. In case you were wondering, the game will feature microtransactions for character upgrades too. The PC system requirements for the game have been released as well.
