Detective Pikachu got a new trailer ahead of its Western launch next month featuring the still off-putting yellow investigator and a slew of problem-ridden Pokémon.
You can check out the full trailer above.
The trailer features narration explaining how Pikachu is helping Tim Goodman look for his father. Judging from the campiness and humor of the trailer, the game will feature plenty of goofy hilarity. And it’s not just the fact the Pikachu sounds like a cut-rate Danny Devito that I personally find hilarious either.
The game originally released in Japan in February of 2016. Now, with its release in Europe and North America set for March, the game will include all of the previously released content, as well as additional content for its new release which includes a variety of new Pokemon as characters.
And it’s not just a game about Pikachu as a gumshoe that’s coming out. A new film based on the idea starring Ryan Reynolds and Rob Letterman (Goosebumps) is directing the project, shooting began in January in London.
Detective Pikachu is set to release on March 23 for the 3DS and it will be available both on the Nintendo eShop and physically for $39.99.
