Elastic String is the best string slot for PvE, with the added firing speed being very helpful. Combine that with Adaptive Munitions to help take down shield-bearing mobs. Archer’s Tempo is far and away the best choice on this weapon in any mode, so go with that. Draw Speed is a masterwork mod that you should really have for any combat bow, in any game mode.

Agile String is the best PvP mod here, you have to shoot first to win. Your choice of Fiberglass Arrowshaft or Compact Arrow Shaft is up to you. Compact will likely be the go-to choice for most PvPers. Just like with the PvE variant, Archer’s Tempo really can’t be beat in that first perk slot. The PvP god Roll for this weapon has a bit of a focus on getting shots off first, so Opening Shot is a must-have. You could use Warmup in a pinch if you want. Draw Speed is a masterwork mod that you should really have for any combat bow, in any game mode.
