Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2020 event revealed

Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes

Bungie announced the return of the Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2020 event today with a blog post and trailer that previewed the upcoming content. The event will include the European Aerial Zone again, powerful new armors, and exclusive Eververse items for purchase. Mark your calendars, because the event runs from August 11 through September 8, which is exactly four weeks to play.

Check out the trailer for the event down below.

Bungie has released some details though, and the rest have been datamined. The overall goal of the new event is to get some new gear. I mean what else is Destiny 2 for? So that means that the Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2020 will have some new items to grind for. Players will be looking to earn some new armor sets for each of the Guardians, but there’s a catch. You’re going to be jumping through a lot of hoops.

You’re going to be running around doing a lot of different activities. Here’s just a tiny sample of some of the quests you will be taking on with this new event. There will be various armor sets given out as part of the months-long event. And yes, there will be multiple quest chains for each armor set, so prepare for the grind. A lot of these quests will involve heading back into the EAZ and taking on hordes of Hive, Cabal, and Fallen enemies, so get ready.

  • Accomplish a Nightfall Ordeal on the Master difficulty
  • Finish a Nightmare Hunt
  • Complete Pit of Heresy
  • Win seven Trials of Osiris matches (Not on a single Passage)
  • Complete a Tier 5 Altar of Sorrow three times

This is all in prep for the new subclass of armor that will be unlocked once Beyond Light goes live, the Stasis. This will tie into the upcoming Majestic armor upgrades as well, as you will need to polish the armor up a bit to hit that top tier.
