Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen is up and running, meaning the Cabal have returned. The Guardians are waging a bitter war against them, only time will tell who wins. Emperor Calus’ daughter Caiatl is quite powerful, and you need some new gear to put a stop to her ambitions. That’s where incredibly powerful new Exotics and other weapons come in.
Shadow Price is a Legendary auto-rifle with some really great perks. You need to put the time into getting it though. First, let’s talk about how to get it. Here’s what you need to do to get the Shadow Price in Destiny 2.
How to Get Shadow Price
This one of the other Nightfall weapons in the game right now. Shadow Price is on a weekly rotation with Palindrome. That means that each week, one or the other will drop from Nightfall missions. The other weapon is Palindrome. You will need to farm the higher-level Nightfalls, preferably in the higher Tiers, to get the Season of the Chosen weapons.
You will need to be able to play the Nightfall: The Ordeal playlist at higher difficulties to get the weapons. You can choose between Master or Hero difficulty, depending on your group and overall skill with the game. Either one has a chance to drop the weapon. Depending on the week you’re in, you can get Shadow Price as a random reward at the end of any Nightfall activity.
What rolls are best for it?
Shadow Price in Destiny 2 is all about that spray. With solid fire rate and accuracy, there’s an argument to be made for focusing on Range buffs. But really, many players will pick the Perk options that work best for their builds. Here are the Perks you should aim for which work in most general setups. Let’s start with PvE.
Shadow Price Statistics:
- Impact: 29
- Recoil: 79
- Reload Speed: 52
- Range: 67
- Handling: 49
- Zoom: 14
- Inventory Size: 48
- Rounds per Magazine: 450
- Magazines: 33
Best PvE rolls
Dragonfly offers a ton of AoE clearing for raids with tons of trash mobs to take down. Thresh is great for sustaining your Supers in builds which rely heavily on those powerful attacks. Arrowhead Brake offers such a massive bonus to the Recoil stat that it’s one of the best gets for perks on Shadow Price in Destiny 2. Corkscrew Rifling is a solid pickup as well.
Since shot counts are so vital in PvE, you want as much ammo as you can carry, that’s where Appended Mag comes in. Tactical Mag is another solid option for the bonuses to multiple important areas. Overflow is a solid secondary option for those running Appended, as it refills ammo when you pick up certain ammo types. It’s a really good combo for Strikes. Feeding Frenzy is acceptable as well thanks to a good sustain.
- Arrowhead Brake or Corkscrew Rifling
- Tactical Mag or Appended Mag
- Overflow or Feeding Frenzy
- Dragonfly or Thresh
Best PvP rolls
The best utility perk for the gun in PvP has to be Swashbuckler to most players. The ability to boost DPS is second-to-none. If you want better tanking in a firefight, Unrelenting is an OK pickup as well. Corkscrew Rifling is a solid pickup for those looking to grab a bit more Range and Handling. If you have to take the accuracy hit, Extended Barrel can work if you’re good with it.
Accurized Rounds is a must though, regardless of your final setup. Some might prefer Tactical Mag if they have less practice hitting their targets at range though. Killing Wind is by far one of the best PvP perks in the game though, hands down.
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Accurized Rounds
- Killing Wind
