Democracy 4 announced by Positech

Democracy 4 announced

The incredibly simple, yet unbelievably fun, govern-them-up series that is Democracy is getting another entry with Democracy 4. According to the announcement from the developers, Positech Games, the newest game will have an increased focus on realism in terms of simulation of corruption and other political kerfuffles.

Democracy 4 will incorporate the extra features introduced in Democracy 3 Africa, which simulated corruption, limits to press freedom and other political phenomena from the extremes which are starting to become more common in western politics since the release of Democracy 3.

The game will be very much like a more streamlined and and centralized Democracy 3 experience by combining the various expansions into a new and improved game. The four expansions to Democracy 3 are Extremism, Social Engineering, Clones & Drones and Electioneering and Positech are promising to bring various features from these DLC into the new game. Issues like the modern struggles against propaganda with the “fake news” rhetoric in politics will be represented in Democracy 4. We can also expect all the other typical issues like budget balancing, extremism and social struggles to be simulated as well.

Positech are planning to release Democracy 4 in 2019, expect more details about the game and it’s features in the coming months.
