Destiny 2 has added a lot of stuff with the new expansion. Everyone was expecting a pretty expansive change to the gearing system, and that’s what we got. Bungie has added full weapon crafting which will see players hunting for perks. And unlike traditional exotics with “God Rolls” that have set perk pools, there’s much more customization this time around. You can find your way around a few different new areas, unlocking some quite interesting gear along the way.
Not only are Exotic weapons coming out in all manner of new forms, there’s a lot more to learn. You’ll want to make sure you purchase The Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2. Without it, you will not be able to unlock any of this, putting a cap on your power levels in-game. But once you do, there are plenty of things to encounter and fight. One of the tools you unlock as you get through the story is called a Glaive.
But to actually unlock the full potential of all this new gear, you have to interact with the massive new crafting system. The core of the system rests on acquiring Patterns, used to make the base gear. You must then earn new perks to slot into the weapons, as well as level them up. Eventually, after you earn enough Patterns, your next goal will be to hunt down Deepsight Resonance weapons. This higher tier of gear offers its own unique stats and bonuses to Guardians.
How to get Deepsight Resonance weapons in Destiny 2
The other aspect of this system is in finding the Deepsight Resonance. These special weapon variants will include new perks you may have not seen before. As you find weapons with this unique perk, you will know them by that strange red border on them. These are meant to be later game unlocks, so finish up story missions first, then try hunting for these weapons. After that, you will notice them start to drop.
Each weapon with this trait is a bit unique. Each one requires players to put effort into a certain activity to level it up, increasing said Resonance. As you do this, you may notice changes in the core stats or perks. First, you’ll need to examine the weapon to read how you increase the weapon’s Deepsight Resonance. Fill the gauge to 100% to unlock the unique perk from that weapon for future use in the crafting system.
